Couldn't agree more. The pocket square patterns are too similar to the jackets. That never works, even if you are Zegna.

Yes, it appears to be exactly the same pattern. Perhaps intentionally?

I haven't read the entire thread, but this is great advice. I always like the square to be kinda "on it's own" only a slight nod to the jacket or shirt.
+1 And I don't know if it was mentioned in this thread, but I'm also not a fan of matching tie to pants, which seems to have become popular on the forum.
