I am in love with the overcoat design below and intend to use some old cloth I have lying around to have this made up by an English tailor for next winter (so need to provide it asap).

The fabric in question is a 18oz. covert from Minnis that is meant to be a dark green. However, the reverse of the cloth features a beautiful rich dark brown color. While I love the idea of a green overcoat, I wonder how well it would translate for such a somber DB overcoat meant for work.

I'm leaning towards the green but would appreciate any thoughts. Both colors are wonderful, but only one will make the grade. Sorry for the awful pics.

Brown (on the reverse):

Assuming that you don't wear green suits but may wear brown suits/trousers, I would say go with the green - it will provide a nice combination of colors with everythign else (grey, navy, brown, beige...).

I think if those are green and brown I REALLY need a new monitor. One more thing to buy.

Thanks Panzer - got the pic from a tumblr a/c so I'm unsure of the maker.

Interesting design.

I'm currently awaiting an exact same overcoat. Mine will also have a half-belt in the back.
