APC could be a choice for you at $155 (via Barney's or cheaper through Farinelli's); many on here wear them and love them although I've never been a fan. Otherwise, at that price range at retail, none. Perhaps you can find Rag & Bone on sale at Barney's right now. Helmet Lang makes some very decent jeans, too, but again would retail closer to $270.

Just about everything else. Perhaps you could find some dark wash 7fam but I would not advice paying full retail for them.

Or if you can find a nice fitting pair of linen slacks, you could get those made into shorts. It's not easy to find nicely fitting linen pieces though. Even if you have a baggy ploofty pair of linen pants, you can always have them taken in and tailored, just remember that dissecting and reassembling your pants is going to be costly. Work closely with your tailor, they often get confused/just don't listen because they're set in their ways and aren't used to modern fashion and style.

Thanks, J Crew looks good, but not much in the way of color. Getting slacks made into shorts might be the best bet.

Alright then, I suppose I'll just make do until I can afford the higher end stuff. Many thanks for your advice, sir.

I don't wear denim in the summer. It's easier that way dude, I promise. Sorry, not really answering your question.

Topic: Tucking Your Shirt In.

I have a shorter, muscular upper body relative to my lower body, since the proportions are sort of messed up, should I refrain from tucking my shirt in? When is it permissible to not tuck in a buttoned-up shirt?

^^ I've never heard of "rules" for tucking in shirts based on your proportions. Wear pants with a lower rise if you're that concerned.

Speaking of which - tucking in only the portion of your T shirt in front so you can show off your belt buckle - yay or nay ?

It just looks a bit weird cause it effectively squishes my upper body whereas things are a bit more balanced when I leave my shirt un-tucked but it comes across as a bit more "sloppy".
