All links on the site do that, regarless of who posted then, and it usually persists as on a "last click" basis. The cookies differ by vendor and not all vendors are participants in these programs.

Got it. I didn't see it carried as a parameter in the URL, so assumed it was stored in the cookie. However, I clearly did not think of this as I was browsing in Incognito upon checkout...
