what's-her-name blondie dragon lady is the most annoying actor but I'm not sure it's because of the script/story or because she seems to be only capable of portraying one emotion (+ her ****).

Season 2 was largely a let down so I hope they come back strongly here.

Danaerys is one of my least favorite characters in the books. But, remember, even though the actress is playing her at 18-20, she's only 13-15 in the books, so that's where the majority of her dialog comes from.

Clash of Kings is a great book. I'd rank it #3. But, they gutted Jon Snow's story, made Catelyn weak and destroyed her motivation, and weakened Robb's story as well on the show. Plus, I'm a sucker for San/San (Sansa and Sandor Clegane), so I'm disappointed they cut a scene or two from them as well, and his best line, "Bugger on your Ser."

The poor guy playing Joffery is like the kid that played Malfoy in the Potter movies. Both have made themselves so realistically unlikeable type casting is a danger.

Only complaints I have so far for the show are lack of chain in Battle of Blackwater episode, and the House of the Undying sucked in the show.

Other than that, I think it's been excellent. I mean, not *everything* can be as good as 1982's "Beastmaster", but damn, they get an A for effort.

How about Theon killing the Ravens so Cat didn't know about the boys' deaths, making her releathe of the Kingthlayer turn her into the weakest character ever. Robbed her of Cat's best scene in the books - eating at Riverrun with Brienne when she told of the boy's death and her heartache. Just a devastating scene which sold the boy's deaths.

And, yes the Undying was such a badly written scene. No symbolism, no Prince Who Was Promised. Total suck.

I agree, but so far most of the changes have been agreeable considering the differences between a TV show and a book. I don't like all of them, and of course I wish everything could have made it, but so far they have really done a great job. Beside, ACoK is really a bridge book between AGoT and ASoS, so it's kinda hard to begin with.

Yeah, that one too. You remind me though, I hope they do my main man, Vargo Hoat's character justice. I love the goat.

There's no way they can really do a character like that justice. I just hope they get the voice somewhat close to the one I imagined

I suspect they'll have to change the Goat a lot. He seems like one of those characters that works well on paper, but less so on screen. I have a hard time seeing how anyone can get that mix of characteristics together without coming off as hokey and ridiculous.

The entire scene with them was a confusing mess. The Bloody Mummers = The Footmen = The Brave Companions is the kind of stupid **** that GRRM keeps padding the books with and it desperately needs to be cleaned up for the screen.

If anyone has a desire to get spoiled about the Goat in the show...


He's not in per se. The function has been replaced by a Bolton bannerman called Locke, played by Noah Taylor (who does have a slight natural lisp).
