To end the endless argument in the other thread now dominated with
tags.
I have created this thread for people who want to talk free about THE SHOW without tripping over distracting spoilers tags. To be clear crybabies [like me] who want to watch and discuss THE SHOW get to play with helmets and kneepads here.
Given the above, I do not agree with placing a moratorium on freely discussing a recently aired episode should be given to people who DVR it. I personally hold off discussing or reading about it online until someone else posts about it and that's usually 12+ hours after airing (monday AM). Other people are more than welcome to hold off on discussing as they see fit. However, as we've seen with the previous thread, it's very difficult to police. So I would prefer no spoiler tags. Any spoilers go in the other thread.
Spoilers are defined as:
A. Anything that's happened in the books but not revealed in the show. (Use the other thread to discuss how the show diverges from the book)
B. Anything that's not yet aired on the show but has happened in any of the books. (e.g. don't use spoiler tags to hold a conversation on what happens once the Wildlings reach the wall before it airs)
C. When in doubt don't post it here (Spoiler tags or not) - There is now a thread dedicated to those that have read/are reading the books AND a thread dedicated to show watchers that are familiar with the books, and are happy to read/share spoilers.
With that said some reactions on episode 8.
1. I actually though the fight scene was kind of lame. I knew what would happen thanks to the previous thread and was underwhelmed after all the hype. It would've been more interesting if I didn't know. The head crushing effect was a little cartoony, but I wasn't particularly distrubed with it. The initial reactions, screams, and Tyrion were great though.
2. Loved the discussion about Tyrion and Jaime's cousin. I was hopping for some enlightening resolution though!
3. Very intrigued by Sansa's transformation (though quick). Very interested in seeing where this leads.
4. The battle for the Wall in the next episode or two should be incredible (at least according to an interview by the show runners it's supposed to rival or beat The Blackwater scene).
5. No idea, but it seems The Hound is ill from his bite wound. Troubling.
6. The flayed soldier was gross. Holy **** Ramsay. I also like Roose Bolton as an actor and as Roose. Ramsay seems like a ***** (minus the flaying and hunting humans.
