Has anyone tried hot washing the chinos to shrink down a little? after wear I find they stretch out and then washing brings them back a little... has any one tried a *hotter* wash?

I actually still have and wear my pair that are probably 7 or 8 years old. These chinos are still by far my favorite chinos I've ever owned.

Mine as well, and I'm finding I'm wearing them even more now in quarantine. I wish RRL would on-shore production of these as I would for sure buy a backup pair if they were made in the USA. Not that the quality hasn't obviously held up great, but it always bugged me that as a heritage piece, they ought to be making these here.

well, at the end of the day, if what we're dealing with here are khaki chinos, then there are a shitload of alternatives. good khakis are ubiquitous.

if we're going to get down to the details; the perfect shade of khaki, the selvedge fabric, the weight of the fabric (when everything else these days seems to be super-lightweight), the fact that it's 100% cotton (when everything else these days seems to have at least 2% stretch), and the fact that I can get them in size 28x34 (when they're in stock, at least)... then no, I have not found a good alternative

Are these what RL now calls the military chinos? Wondering what I have been missing out on with my JCrew khakis.
