Thanks,I did a search but I couldnt find much information.I think @Munky did something with some very red Bourtons to tone them down.
No more red shoe shame. What an incredible job The Shoe Healer has done on my, now burgundy, shoes. Very many thanks to Ann, Antony and all at the shop. I am really pleased with these. The look even better in the flesh and have been burnished. They are over 5 years old. Wonderful! Photo courtesy of The Shoe Healer.

I am guessing that the original colour was Poppy red ?He sent them out to be done.
They were funchal red which is very red.
I hadnt thought of that....But @cerneabbas 's Bourtons are corrected grain, I wonder if they'd take on a new colour as easily as Funchal which is quite a soft leather so maybe more absorbent?
I did. I sent my very bright red Bourton's to the Shoe Healer. They made a beautiful job of turning them into a burnished burgundy. I am very pleased with them.I think @Munky did something with some very red Bourtons to tone them down.
