North Face McMurdo Parka 2 vs Gotham 2: which winter jacket looks more versatile? which looks better

I'm thinking of a new winter jacket. I like the looks of the Canada Goose parkas, but refuse to spend over 700 USD on any kind of jacket.
the McMurdo parka 2 and Gotham 2 are roughly the same price.
Color options slightly different but thinking of either grey or red

between these two which:

1. looks more versatile

2. looks better?

Second looks better to me, but unless the pockets are side entry on the second I would go with the first. If you live anywhere cold I find sticking my hands in side entry pockets much more natural and practical.

Yes, the second one has two side pockets. one up closer to the rib, and another set behind the bottom pockets. both are fleece lined.

Not sure about the first one, but I think it has just one pair.
