Thoughts on the collapse of the secondary market, with StockX, GOAT, etc.. collapsing? I still want a pair of Jordan 1's from A Ma Maniere, but otherwise, have not seen anything that I absolutely need. I think that the retailer editions and things like Travis Scotts might remain good for resale, but everything else is a lot more of a risk these days.

That article pretty much sums it up: massive influx of retros and releases of the same shoe on thirty colorways. It’s just pure saturation. I never really got into any of the hype shoes except the ISPA stuff from 2020 and the Space Hippie (funny enough those we’re shoes that pushed design and material forward).

You see other brands pushing out large quantities of their classics like Adidas and their Sambas/Superstars/Gazelle and that is starting to collapse too.

I got a pair of Asia only AF1s paisleys from stockX, but have otherwise tried to stay off the secondary market. At the end of the day, there have been few designs that I wanted for 2x retail, especially to wear, but I have entered a few lotteries, winning none so far.

I'm totally fine with this. I will admit that I never bought a pair of AJ1's, retros, dunks, and AF1's in my life. The fact that they focused on all those models and let some real innovative things go like the ISPA line, the Space Hippie stuff, and some of the cooler shoes from Jordan like the Trunners and an AJ1/Pegasus hybrid running shoe a few years back. They went hard on the React foam before the pandemic but I haven't seen any innovation on that front in a while.

I'm hoping that with the focus on innovation comes the focus on quality control because they REALLY need to. I'm sure they feel the heat coming from competitors like New Balance, On Running, Asics, and Salomon.

And don't get me started on the clothing line...
