What is the sizing difference between the HNW last and the 55 last?

Kind of depends on the foot, but generally, not usually a difference. However, the HNW can feel tighter in the toe box so sometimes it can make sense to go up a half size. Sorry I can't be more definitive. Like for me, I wear the same size in both.

I've watched pretty much every Nicks boots video on Youtube and I've never heard that. You'd think your customer would be able to provide the source since he told you about it.

I have seen (incorrectly) in comments more than a couple times that another maker in town is Chinese owned. Its unfortunate things like that are spouted as facts as it does muddy the water for some who hold that as important.

Well. The other maker in town is Japanese-owned, not Chinese-owned, fwiw.

Yep... The point was there is a lot of weird misattribution on the the ol interweb. I wondered if the report you received could have been a mix of a couple of these.

Honestly, why would it matter who owns Nicks? I buy you guys because you fit my feet the best and I get all day support. Could care less about the parent company.

On my MTO Robert boot order. Will Nicks install a logger heel instead of a dogger heel if I request it? I much prefer the logger heel.

^I think you are looking at a 55 last Ranger boot then. I'm not sure if they offer their casual leathers in the Ranger MTO though. The logger heel is much higher than the dogger, which is already pretty high compared to brands like White's.

I used a bit of Smith's Leather Balm on the heel counters of my Brown CXL Manito shoes. I don't think I'd use Smith's again for regular conditioning but the results weren't bad. I was hoping the heels would become more pliable and wrap around my feet better. So far, so good. The shoes feel a little more secure on my feet.

Do you guys get a thicker or different cut of CXL than other brands? These shoes have been kinda brutal to break in but in a good way. The creasing has been fantastic, BTW. Non of the bad grain break that usually comes with CXL.
