Hello, I'm wondering what the target user is for the 67 last. I watched the Youtube video where Grant explained how the 67 last has a taller toe box but same overall diameter around the ball which makes it narrower side to side compared to the same width 55 last. I'm guessing it isn't just about toe wiggle room. What are the functional benefits of the 67 over the 55, what is the target use for the 67, and does it actually feel more narrow?

[/QUOTE]
It is mostly to provide more vertical room in the toe box when going up and down hills, like in wildland firefighting, if you need to dig your heels in. It’s also got a little more rock to it in my opinion.

I have both and I would say it isn't that much of a difference, barely noticable. It also depends on the leather my CXL and chocolate get smoother and a little bit wider with wear, latigo takes time. You can also choose another width, I have 11e so already a bit wider.

High arch is better in rough terrain, I never even slipped in muddy areas and you can get grip with in on smaller logs my bpro. But I would not recommend it for flat feet, the shape of the foot need to match the footed of the shoe.

If you want to place the order for the medium brown W&C I can change it to the dark brown on the bill of materials if you send me the order number. Most people do not need the try on process (about 94% of buyers get it right the first time) so I generally only recommend it if you've had trouble with sizing with other brands or shoes in the past.

Brown CXL is a classic and always looks good. The only caveat I would add is that it is a traditional brown so you may already have some footwear that performs a similar function, looks-wise. The Wickett is a great boot leather, holds up well, slightly more frequent maintenance but not a big deal. It can be a little stiffer out of the box but breaks in well. It probably ages more interesting than CXL, but these are finer points of difference.

@Nicks Boots Shuyler - ordered this morning and went with the brown CXL. You're right that it's a classic look and I don't have anything similar. Thanks again for the assistance!

This is what I see when I try to see the cart in the store
Is this my personal ban or something else?

Here are some pictures comparing the structured toe vs unstructured toe. The unstructured boots are both White's bounty hunter. One in brown horsehide, and the other in Olive waxed flesh. Both on the 55 last, The structured toe boot is the Nick's Falcon.

Excuse the bad lighting and amateur pictures. The brown boots have a captoe, and because of this the toe collapse is less prominent when compared to the toe collapse on the waxed flesh boots. Overall unstructured gives the boot a slimmer less round toe profile. Of course the last itself makes a big difference as to the general profile of the boot. Hope this is helpful.

Got to admit I love the lug sole even when it is not really civilization compatible, it's gripping everywhere, a bit more comfortable then the rubber soles and I love the little nicks screws.
