Good suggestion. I wear brown suede chukkas with just about everything from jeans to a suit. They are very versatile and look great. The suede makes them a bit more casual than buying regular leather, which is good for the OP, and the darker suede allows them to be dressed up more than a desert boot, which is also useful for him. People seem to always be worried about caring for suede, but I find them easier to deal with than regular leather.
Ha, yeah. I wouldn't mind avoiding purchasing new shoes, since I'm probably only going to be wearing this stuff once or twice a year.
