Doctor Crane: Where did you buy those Liberty of London ties? They are quite nice. It offers a change from my conservative taste in ties.

Andrew: Great ties. The best of the forum IMO. You have exactly the same taste as I.

I can't say enough about my Liberty ties. Every time I wear one, I receive numerous comments. Unfortunately they're very hard to come by here in the states. Outside of the actual Liberty of London store in London, the next best source is http://www.linksandties.co.uk/LibertyOfLondonTies.aspx Every now and then they'll change the patterns on the web site. Plus you really can't beat the price as they're often advertised for much more. I'd suggest e-bay but they're a dime a dozen on there and the ones that are often listed are the older, cotton ones from the 70s and 80s (a.k.a crap)

Andrew, your top row of ties appeals to me more than the bottom. I recognize all of them as top notch, it's a personal taste thing.

Yep, I divided them into "light" and "dark" groupings. Which ones I wear has to do with with my mood, also how bright the shirt is. For instance, one of my very favorite combo's is a lavender or lavender/white bengal striped shirt with a solid black or black/white polka dots tie.

Andrew: Great ties. The best of the forum IMO. You have exactly the same taste as I.

Thanks Mike. You are right - I prefer simple ties as you do. Perhaps "simple and bold" would be the best description.

Nice ties gents. Acole: I like your Talbott BOC vines and your Behar olive. Renault78law: Yes, that is a superb tie A.Harris: Your Talbott Estate green/yellow stripes is quite different and tasty. Almost Etroish. Fraiser

If you are ever in Italy, there are a several fabric stores that carry Liberty's material. What is even better is that they have a tiemaker who can make you one in any fabric, any style.

Ooooold thread (by an ooooold member), but resurrections can be good on occasion.

I only brought a small selection of my ties to college. These are a few favorites pulled from the bunch:

Left to right: Brooks madras, Barneys house label (Charles Hill, I think), Canali silk/cotton (ties the thickest knot i've ever seen), Hickey Freeman (really substantial silk), Nicky Milano, Lands End wool (pheasants for the Trad in me), vintage Pendleton wool.

Nice ties. I think you outbid me on eBay for that silk/cotton Canali a few months ago

and I have the same Nicky in black with blue and tan squares - love it.
