Where do I put my car?

Seriously, though, I am moving to the downtown Chicago area (thinking River North, but will settle for something around Lakeview or even Lincoln Park). We will rent for a year then re-evaluate, but we do hope to buy within the next 2 years. I'm looking forward to the move immensely, but I am uncertain how I will sort out my parking situation. Does anyone live in downtown Chicago? How realistic is it to get two covered spots? Or a garage and a off-the-street spot?

With regard to locale, I know the city fairly well, but if anyone has any advice or suggestions on where to look, I'm open to your thoughts.

Thanks

For off street parking downtown you will pay dearly- same with River North. Lakeview would be more reasonable.
