I have recently replaced my former cigarette addiction with a mints addiction. My mint of choice at the moment is Altoids Peppermint ("The curiously strong mints") but curious to try some other "high-end" mints.

Any mint recommendations?

I never thought much for Altoids since they had an aftertaste. I use Ice Breakers Liquid mints because you can have the whole case in your pocket without bulking it up, plus there is no aftertaste to speak of. They are also just strong enough to work effectively without ruining your pallet for much time.

Yikes! Altoids just got a little less appealing.

I'm an altoids man myself. I've been popping them constantly for years and haven't gotten mad cow disease yet, so I think I'll just keep at it. Aside from the taste, I like the texture they have - much better than the smooth texture of most other mints.

Of course, you can also never go wrong with some certs.

If you're anywhere near Los Angeles someday I'd strongly recommend you visit a small chain of coffeeshops called Zeli (one in Pasadena, the other in La Cañada for all you LA types.) They have a drink called "frozen hot chocolate" which is essentially like enjoying Andes in smooth liquid form. The chocolate itself is more like that of drinking Swiss Miss in cold milk, which I think only makes it more appealing, and the mint is dead on. If you can't tell already, I crave it nightly.

I'm sucking on a Mynthon "cool mint" right now. It is soft on the outside, and hard on the inside

Wrigley's Extra gum (peppermint) is my 'mint' of choice. No aftertaste and chew on one piece for 5 seconds and you're set!

This is good for giving fresh breath and taking the edge off when going in for an interview.
