You can find them around in most big cities I think. ot quite 100% wool, but its good. Also check J Crew and Club Monaco at the low end, and Burberry, Belstaff, SLP at the very high end. Schott and Fidelity might have 100% wool offerings as well.

Ok. I'll check those out, thank you for the information.

I am looking for a good Peacoat. I have been searching for the perfect coat but I haven't found it yet. Nevertheless I have discovered some things I look for in my coat:
-slim fit is very important because I don't like the looks of the more straight form, I believe they look baggy
-full satin lining seems like it would be nice but I have never owned a Peacoat before
-at least 80% wool but 100% would be my ultimate goal
-moderately biased for authentic Melton wool but I hear that cashmere blends are nice too
-the biggest thing I look for is quality, and I see and like that in things like leather lined button holes and a proper slim fit and so on

I also have some things I would prefer or like to have on my Peacoat:
-no back ****/flap or vent
-I would like one of those belt looking things on the lower back part of the coat with two buttons. I don't know what they are called but here's a picture:

My question is this: Is there a perfect coat for me or is my only option for complete happieness or am I too picky?
And another is this: Is expensive tailoring the only solution?

You just asked this same question several posts back and I gave you a few answers. You haven't since added any new criteria or insight, so I don't know wtf you want here. There is a perfect coat for everyone if they are willing to pay.

Here: http://www.mrporter.com/en-ca/mens/saint_laurent/slim-fit-wool-peacoat/458485

Slim fit, 100% wool, full satin lining, no vent, probably highest quality. Do you have $2000 to spend on a peacoat? If not you might have to settle for something that is not perfect.

You could have a peacoat made for you. Luxire, one of the forum sponsors, makes peacoats:

http://custom.luxire.com/products/luxire-wool-peacoat

You' will find examples of Luxire's work in this thread and their own dedicated threat in the Classic Menswear forum. Just use the search function.

^ might be a touch baggy in the arms, but looks good overall. I'd keep if fit is your only concern.

Right. I mean... the baggy sleeves thing is a problem with Sterlingwear as well, so you may not have too many options for low/mid-range 3 button peas without baggy sleeves.

120lb and 5'6 and I don't really know which would flatter the body more. I'll probably just be wearing sweater & jeans or dress shirt & dress pants with this. I searched styleforum but I haven't found any posts on single breasted vs no buttons. Has anyone had experience buying these single breasted and no button sterlingwear coats?

Not sure how 4 buttons is going to look

I just got a Sterlingwear Authentic peacoat from Barre surplus. Obviously, it was gotten pretty cheap ($130) as opposed to the $260 that Sterlingwear themselves are asking. Barre claimed it is a navy blue coat, but that the navy blue is so dark as to almost appear black. I got it, and sure enough, it looks as black as black can get. I really want a navy blue coat, not black, but really don't want to return this one and pay full price for a blue one from Sterlingwear. THERFORE;

tl;dr- I am wondering if there is some safe way to lighten the color (assuming that it is indeed navy-that-looks-black) or any simple way to give it a blue hue.
