Is that back belt part functional? Do you pull from the inside of you want to cinch the waist? Otherwise it’s a nice piece. Color is great!

Excellent score and an excellent fit. These are becoming much more difficult to find. A friend of mine finally found one in good condition in a size 32. A rare size, but it fits her diminutive 5' 2" 100 pound frame.Look what just arrived, in time for spring

I am super happy with the fit and the condition of this World War 2 peacoat. I'm guessing it has all it's original parts, including the buttons and throat latch. The lining is untorn. There's only a small hole in the seam of the left corduroy pocket, but that should be a quick stitch.
This is actually my second WW2 peacoat. I bought my first one in 2012, and sold it in 2020. It was too small for me, but I got a lot of wear out of it anyway even though it was uncomfortable. Since 2020, I was looking for the right one, which finally happened last week. Every now and then, I luck out on eBay
