So when is the website opening up?
Seriously! All I want to do is give them my money. All they have to do is create a website.
Capua, you can order online already. Simply email Pepe and give him your wishes, that's how I left my order. Pictures from different materials and lasts are displayed at www.meermin.tumblr.com.
Pepe -- if you read this, I thought I'd mention one suggestion...
In addition to the great pics on tumblr, it'd be great to know more specific and comparative info across lasts. As a relatively new customer, it's hard to make educated guesses/opinions about any differences (both fit and shape) between the New Rey, Ben, Vil, Ama, etc. lasts.
Agreed. Perhaps a comparative picture, like this one from Markowski would be useful?
Seconding a request for something like this.
...worry not, I've already emailed the very same request for Pepe yesterday. Hopefully we'll have some pictures soon.
Thank you! This will be very helpful in reducing the chance that the shoe won't fit.
depends on the suplier. anyway, they sell directly through their stores.
true, never thought of that as being such a costcutter.
Nah their top line is definitely hand welted goodyear (oxymoron? you get what i mean anyway) unless they're flat out lying on their blog - they've posted pictures too.
I've found my shoemaker but it's nice to have a relatively cheap brand i can recommend to noobs as being good value.
Not sure if this helps or not, but here's the New Rey last vs C&J 348 and Alden Aberdeen
So the New Rey is wider than the 348?
No, the sole of a UK9E 348 is a little bit wider than a UK9 New Rey, at least on the pair I have, by a few mm.
To be 100% clear: Does this mean they use a leather welting strip which they handstitch to the lasted upper and then use the goodyear welting machine to attach the insole to the welt?
Ohh sorry, my mistake. How are the total space in the New Rey compared to the 348 Lowndes?
Separate names with a comma.
