agreed. im not a fan of the Norvegese on the black. im actually not a fan of norvegese in general but it looks really good on the brown. yo, yo, G, check it:

    Brown Shell Jodhpur
    Norvegese
    Medallion
    Croc Strap and
32" rims holdin' it all down!

meermin stated that turnaround time for MTO is about 12-14 weeks. woudnt be ready until summer. just in time for fall? I was initially leaning toward the jodphur but im now thinking double monk boot in brown shell. would complete the trifecta: already have the JL william in both black and tan.

Noted. Pony horsehair is just shell, but better b/c no imperfections are visible, right? And it must be rarer than shell, b/c ponies are smaller than horses. AND there's no need to brush it b/c it IS horsehair.

I foresee a mad run on pony horsehair and a bitter schism developing between those who only wear pony horsehair and those wo will even put cow leather on their feet.

    I'd better get in now.

Alright, from what I've been reading all the lasts at Meermin seem to run pretty wide, but any recommendations for a person wearing 10.5G UK? I flicked off an e-mail to Meermin about what they have in their range too, seeing as theres nowhere online to view it, but more opinions are good too. I'm not hurting for length in my UK shoes, but I wouldn't want to lose too much of it.

Man I need to stop coming here. It's hurting my wallet wayyyy too much.

Pretty wide? Pepe informed me that the New Rey last is comparasible with the C&J 348 last, which I find quite narrow.

NAMOR: I hate you so much right now, giving me the idea off both a shell jod. and DM-boot.

I visited the Meermin shop and tried on a shoe on the New Rey, I was wearing a pair of C&J 7UK on the 348 last, I'd say that a new rey on 7 is smaller (narrower and shorter), unfortunately a 7.5 of the same shoe was not available :(

Nice shop and very kind staff btw, worth a visit if you are in Madrid (not being on Calle Gran Via helps)

Thanks for info! Did you try any other last, like the Ben or Ama? Did they recommend you to go up half a size to 7.5?

[IMG] i think i might go with the shell jodhpur instead of the db monk boot. I wanted a db monk boot with a cap toe but even pepe thought it would look better with a plain toe

I don't think I've ever seen a shell jodhpur before, may this be the first? Still thinking about my black shell adelaides, would be a perfect gift for myself for finishing my bachelor's.

Due to an overload of orders, Pepe won't be taking any more mail orders unitl further notice. I believe it will be around the same time as the web store opening.

Directed to me? I didn't try any other shoe, don't like the norvegese and was really only looking for model 102374.
Saw a very nice adelaide on a pointy last (probably Vil, anyway pointier than 348).

Half a size was an educated guess as I was able to cram my feet into a 7, but would like to try on in person before the first purchase.

Staff did take note of my name and email address and promised to send an email when that model will be back in stock.

I just got the same email, from Pepe @ meermin just now, so looks like anyone who doesn't already have an order in/pending is out of luck for a while until the web store is up. Bummer. Not too much of an issue for me as I don't need my next pair till march next year.

    Hi Jason,

First of all, thank you for your interest in Meermin.

    - We are currently working on the launch our online shopping service for our website:  www.meermin.es
    - Due to the big amount of orders received in the last month we are not taking more mail orders, because our factory is currently overloaded.
    - We will contact you back when mail orders will be taken again.

    We hope you will understand.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you very much for your interest.

    Best regards,

    Pepe Albaladejo - Meermin Mallo

    Wow!

Is this forum/thread responsible for overloading their factory?
