I hate to throw you under the bus, but on my monitor and in real life, my tie is, well, a deep orange-brown. Rust. And I'm very happy with it.

You aren't 'throwing me under a bus': rust is not what I would call it in your picture or in real life.

Well, I would call it rust. Maybe it would be better if I simply said that it is the color I was expecting to receive. Don't matter much to me what it's called. I'll reiterate: the tie is the color I expected it to be, and I am pleased with it.

Great! I'm very happy for you. I don't think I was saying that anyone else shouldn't be satisfied, only asking if there was anyone who felt the same as me: that the colour wasn't quite what they expected. The only reason I mentioned you is that you posted what seemed to me to be a very accurate depiction of the colour.

As the saying goes, YMMV.

I thought the colors looked representative. I personally didn't like the rust but also didn't order it.

I finally broke out my rusty last week and cannot speak highly enough of the fine quality of this silk. It's easily as fine as any other I own and could be above. Soft and light, I was devastated I hadn't bought the full run.
