Thanks so much for your patience while we confirmed that all of these fabrics are available. We're ready to take preorders! Here is the link:

Note that you will need a Massdrop account to participate (it just takes an email address).
The process should be straightforward, but here's some info on how it will work:
- The 'drop' will be live for about a week, starting today. During that time you can order, modify your order, cancel your order (but who would do that?), etc. Your card will not be charged until the drop closes.
- When you click "join now" or "commit to join" you will be taken to the order page. If you want to order more than one tie, fill out the specs for one and then hit "add another order."
- There are two prices associated with this drop, each associated with a certain total quantity of orders. Everyone in the drop will pay the same price at the end of the day, so assuming we hit the lowest price then everyone will pay that price. If we only sell enough to hit the first "drop point' (again, I think this is unlikely) then only the people who committed to pay the higher price would have their order go through. I know this sounds a little complicated but I don't think it will be an issue once things are up and running.
- The drop page shows how much time is left to take preorders, and once the preorders are closed (again, in about a week) all orders will be locked.
- At that point the list will be sent to @edmorel and the ties will go in to production.
- The estimated ship date is listed at the bottom of the drop page. Right now it's 10/28. It's possible that things move faster than that, but we're trying to be conservative. Either way, it should be primo madder season.
At this point I'd love to move the conversation over to the Massdrop page, which has its own discussion thread on the drop page. This way, both people from Styleforum and the greater Massdrop community will be able to participate and have their questions answered. I will be there to answer questions - hope to see you all on the other side!

Hey everyone,
After getting some requests in a different thread, we've teamed up with Styleforum and Panta to put together a GMTO for Panta's popular madder ties.
A little background:
I work for an e-commerce company called Massdrop, a site that helps product enthusiasts organize group buys for their favorite products (and in doing so, leverage a better price than an individual could get). I head up the men's style vertical there, and I have been chatting with @LA Guy about ways to collaborate for a while. I know that there are many menswear enthusiasts here (myself included) that are interested in getting their hands on the same products, so it seems like a natural fit.
For this initial collab, we're working with @edmorel of Panta to offer his classic Madder ties in colors not available on his site. Here's how I anticipate that this will play out:
1. First, I'll let Styleforum members vote on their favorite swatches from the selection below, and we'll narrow the list down to around 10 favorites.
2. We'll then move the conversation over to the Massdrop site, which is well set up to have users vote on products and join group buys.
3. Once the Styleforum and Massdrop communities have narrowed down the selection, we'll proceed with 4 of the most popular choices and open up the ties for preorders.
More about the ties:
1. Material (in Ed's words): "This is a very special silk that we have been working on with the mill for some time. Its dry, yet soft to the touch. The color palates are muted yet saturated. Its kind of a hybrid between an ancient madder and a wool challis and we think its some of the most beautiful silks we have ever seen. Will look great with flannels, tweeds, textured wools and even cotton."
2. Construction: These will be constructed in a 6/7 fold construction, untipped, with hand-rolled edges.
3. Timeline: As of now, we're planning on opening up the drop for preorders at the end of this month. Expected delivery would probably be late September or early October, prime madder time!
