I don't understand what you were expecting. Up until now, the thread has been about trying to order and waiting for the wallet. The wallet is done and I showed what it looks like. Is that not the natural progression of things?

You make it sound like I'd be wasting less of your time by not showing the final product and letting the status quo drag on indefinitely.

However, one semi-serious thought here: After reading your blogpost, it almost sounds like you more happy to be able to bash some freaky housewives who live in their Hermes bubble than you are to have finally received what you were looking for.
Given that you have waited 7 months (!!) for such a simple item and that I have (female) friends who waist 2-3 months for their über-seeked handbags (!)....it somehow occured to me that you may have tried to proove something to yourself here.
I greatly prefer any other of your posts, and IMHO a photo essay alone would have been enough and ended this in good taste.
Of course, speaking about good taste is really rich coming from YT.

Can anyone provide a comparison between this wallet and ones made by Hermes alum, like Beatrice at April in Paris or some of those based in Paris?

You might look at this guy's work (he does bespoke and recently had a show at Colette in Paris.) He does hand saddle stitching.:

IMO, April in Paris can sometimes be rather sloppy in the stitching department.

(A few years ago the Hermes Fleming MC2 wallet, in Evergrain, was $1350. (plus tax)...I'm sure it's more now.)
