Aurelien are the closest I've found.

I see their stuff advertised on IG. how are the shirts and shoes ? Is it decent quality. looks good on the pics. But I have had bad experiences with stuff from IG.

very very nice. Incredibly soft suede and construction is great! I’m after their shearling open walk copy soon, I would definitely recommend.

Jack Erwin also has a version of the venetian loafer and a plain toe slip on, in limited sizes on clearance now. I bought a pair of the blue slip ons and just dyed them dark navy with Angelus dye.

They're good, but the upper is a bit stiffer on the JE and their sole is significantly thinner and a little less dense than the LP versions. 9.5s in JE fit the same as 42.5 LP ime. Both are really snug on me (Brannock 9.75 D/E right foot, 10.25 C/D right foot).

Pini Parma sells near-replicas of both the Summer Walk and Open Walk that don’t cost an arm and a leg:

The Open-Walk-esque ones are sold out, but might be worth keeping an eye on.

A timely WSJ piece given the somewhat recent revival of this thread.

Haha, I was just about to post the article on here after seeing it a day or two ago. I got my pair as a gift and was a little underwhelmed with it (was hoping for more traditional suede lace up boots) but fell in love after wearing them through the winter - super comfortable and sleek enough to dress up a bit though not to anything formal. I am pretty worried about what to do once the soles wear out - I definitely don't have the big boy income to buy a new pair.

unless you abuse them, you’ll have to work pretty hard to wear them out.

I managed to find some seen better days open walks in my size off Depop for £50 which I’m more than happy with. They just need a good bath and some suede treatment.

Each to their own, but I’ve had shoes worse than these that I’ve restored back to great condition.

check these George Cleverleys i thrifted before and after.

looks like a great result. how do you disinfect the shoes' interior ? seems like an extensive treatment is needed.

strong alcohol soaked cloths and just clean the inside. Then cedar shoe trees and let it sit for a while.
