Anyone have experience with these? I've been eyeing them in the brown burnished calf...

Looks like about $160 before shipping from Pediwear. Alternatively, any leather chukka recommendations in that price range from other makers?

Charles Tyrwhitt sells the same boot in suede - you can get it for something like $135 using the half off coupon.

I own both and there is a difference, but there is also a substantial price difference. For a suede chukka at the CT pricepoint, I would go for it. If you are able to acquire a Grenson Masterpiece suede chukka at the Bennie price then I would go with the Grenson.

Unless you aspire to boutique brands and prices for the sake of prestige, Loake's as good as it gets in that price bracket. They have lovely-looking soles and leathers and have keep-forever quality. Go for it.

ANyone have any idea the quality on these black ones with the dainite sole? I need a bad weather shoe, and the GBP is looking good right now for me!

I've got a pair for wet weather and they're pretty decent. Leather is fine, finishing is perfectly adequate. Not quite up to the quality of my other mid-price dainite soled shoes C&J Sheltons, C&J Chelsea 5s and Barker Nairn's but not far off.
