I always wanted the jermyn ii, so I got what I thought would be dark grey from the pics on the web page, but these arrived looking really light. They are actually a little lighter than what appears here. I don't really like light colored shoes and finding it hard to get used to these light grey shoes. What do you guys think? Would you be able to work with these? With what do you wear these other than grey trousers, maybe? Brown? Blue? I have no idea.

If anyone has any thoughts, I'd appreciate it before I return these for brown or dark blue - the other two colors available. Thanks View attachment 1691405

Is it pewter museum or just grey calf?

It’s always hard to tell how dark they are in pictures but that pair looks pretty light?
In direct sunlight the pair I wear look about this shade - which might be just a hair darker than your pair and indoors they look pretty much black. I usually pair them with navy but to be honest I reach for black more often.

Yes, I thought they would be this color; the color of yours. How do you keep that color, cream/clear polish only? A grey polish could change the color?

Are yours a.mecarriello? I have a pair in that color from him. Is that antiqued anthracite (I think that's the name)?

I haven’t really thought about it too much. I’ve diluted black cream polish with neutral cream and then use black wax but I’m also fine with them if they darken. Yes AM. Think they’re the pearl grey from the GMTO a couple years ago.

The thing that struck me was that bespoke JLP is 1.3M¥!!

At current FX rate that’s over $11k for a new JLP customer.

'Very nice and super clean and classic. They look like Becketts to me but with a cap toe. What are they (besides just plain old beautiful)?
Exaclty what you said, except you missed another major difference. Becketts with:

1. cap toe, and
2. 5 eyelets instead of 4.

Everything else is identical, including the last of course.
