I had two parcels delivered this week valued at 150k yen each that were marked down via Fedex from Zen if it helps. The minimum value does now have to be 10% and it helps I think if you've shopped and used that service before.

You can still mark down parcels as long as it is 10% of the value. Just had one arrive at their warehouse a few hours ago. Still unfortunate that there was never really any notice or heads up that this was happening. Some communication to customers would've been nice, especially ones who have used their services dozens of times.

Is ZM really still an SF affiliate vendor? They haven't replied here for like a year or so... ?

Has anybody used White Rabbit Express recently (within last few weeks)? How was it? If so, were you still able to adjust value of parcels as much as you want?

My friend used it to order something high value a few months ago. He said the service was probably only worth it if you intend to buy something that requires gentle care, like a Grand Seiko/Credor or a leather jacket/suit. He was able to adjust the value down freely.

I saw the 12% service fee, excluding shipping and other costs, and noped out of there.

Ouch, just saw their fee structure. Guess I'll stick with ZM for now lol

It seems there's no way to mark down FedEx and UPS anymore?

Can anyone confirm if this is what shows up when you try to create a new package?

EDIT: Also not possible with DHL either.

Yeah, I'm extremely disappointed. The absolute worst part is I already have everything I need at the warehouse - two leather jackets. The full import duty is going to be insane, and completely offsets Japan's better prices, my reason for shopping there in the first place. It might even turn out to be more expensive.

I'm appalled and furious, but though unlikely, I'm also not sure if I'm being "targeted" or not due to the higher-than-normal value of my items. That is why I wanted to confirm that everyone else got the same message.

Have you shipped stuff from ZM with a lower declared value before? Iirc someone mentioned that the lower declared option was nowadays only available for ZM customers which had previously used that option.

That's really unfortunate. Have you tried reaching out to them to get confirmation? I know a website that doesn't allow value adjustments on 200,000+ yen items but I've never purchased anything that expensive on ZenMarket. I think we may need a new proxy that doesn't have absurd fees and allows value adjustments.

I've seen that mentioned in this thread but don't believe it was ever actually confirmed by ZM.

Yes, I have. Just in January of this year I shipped a 190k yen marked down to 80k, which is right under the $800 trigger for US customs. Guess loyalty means nothing now.
