Ha ha. It's hardly false advertising if they show you that they're pinning it!

This kind of thing is virtually unwinnable. ANY representation of anything is going to include some distortion. That's what the lawyers would argue. Camera angle and lens, lighting, etc., can all make something look different. In the end, any model picture is only meant as a suggestion of what the garment might look like in real life.

If you guys think J.Crew is bad, what about RL. Everything on their website looks impeccably trim whether it's Black Label or classic fit Polo.

I read somewhere that they put there models in a size smaller than what they would normally wear.

I think this is an industry-wide practice. The J. Crew models often seem squeezed into their garments.

Got my essential chonos back from the tailor. Bought them unhemmed and asked for a full break. I think she made them too long and past the break I wanted.

Where do most of you get urs hemmed to?

Khakis are not supposed to have a full break. No break to a very small break is best for khakis.

I usually do a full for my darker khakis and a half for my lighter ones.

EDIT: Yeah, she altered it longer then they should be. I checked ver another pair of pants I have. It's a pain because I bought them for a business trip I am taking and dont have time to get them fixed before I leave.
