Greetings all,

Have been a casual lurker at this forum for a while but was wondering if the timepiece experts would lend a hand. I am wanting to buy an IWC Big Pilot and I saw this online (link below). It comes in a wooden box but the one I tried on in a store today was in a silver type box. Is the one below a copy? Please delete this thread if it in inappropriate as I do hate these type of threads but just need a hand.

Ajn946 - It appears to be an authentic 5002, but w/o clear and large pictures its hard to tell. 3k is a pretty low price for a like-new BP, so you should really get pictures.

checkout timezone.com's IWC forum, there's lots of comparative pictures, and owners who could help you out.

+1

When I buy a pre-owned watch, I check out the seller at least as close as I check out the watch.

The Big Pilot is a great watch, but quite hefty!

The case is 46.2 mm with a height of 15.8 mm. It is indeed a BIG Pilot's Watch (the standard IWC Pilot's Watch Mark XVI is 39 mm and 11.5 mm in height),
