Upper middle range Italian sportswear, often well styled.

In NYC, it shows up from time to time at Daffy's.

Don't pay too much.

Agree with mack. I've got a jacket or two from them, pretty good quality (mine is canvassed and has working button sleeves), but it is always available at steep discount. I think I never paid more than $50-75 for my Mastercoat stuff. But, the fit is also quite nice and fairly slim. I'd probably pay up to $150 if it was something really great, but I don't think I'd pay more than that for a jacket/blazer.

Thanks for the info!
How slim would you say they cut, slim like Costume National or more "regular" italian brands-slim ? I almost always need to go up one size for CN blazers/suits to make them fit chest and shoulders

No, definitely not CN slim. Probably "regular" slim, as you mentioned. I wouldn't size up, though. I also tend to size up in CN (i'm usually an IT 48, but IT 50 in CN) but I keep my size the same IT48 in the Mastercoat items I have.
