Is the S&M Neapolitan Cut Suit Too Relaxed For A Three-Piece / Interview / Evening Suit?

I'm cleaning out a closet full of cheap suits, and am looking to streamline my suit collection (mainly so I can expand my sport coat collection, but don't tell my wife!). I live in SoCal, and don't have occasions to wear suits much, except for rare evening events, weddings, and, most often, job interviews.

I'm looking to pick up a suit from S&M, and I love the Neapolitan cut -- I have several sport coats in it, and really like the look and feel. Do you think that it's too relaxed for a man's "cornerstone" navy/charcoal suit, or am I overthinking it?

BONUS: Do you think it'd work with a third piece? (I wish S&M had something one their site to just "add a waistcoat" to your order -- it'd make things so much easier)

DOUBLE BONUS (?): Has anyone had any experience with their English cut? There's tons of pixels devoted to the Neo cut, but seemingly none on this!

I think unless you are a lawyer here in SoCal it is unlikely most others will perceived you as relaxed of any sort in any suit. Even most lawyers are fairly poorly dressed here now.

My general opinion on S+M neo stuff is that:
1) Most of it is patch pocket, and I wouldn't generally choose a patch pocket suit for my "cornerstone".
2) I also wouldn't usually want to pair a waistcoat with a patchpocket suit.
3) I generally don't like waistcoats that aren't built to be with the suit.

As to the OP’s question, no, I don’t think the neo cut would look too casual for a suit, even in a courtroom. I haven’t tried on the English cut myself.

Their Neapolitan cut appears to be mainly about the spalla camicia shoulder, the lapel shape and the 3-roll-2 closure. As long as you choose flapped pockets, there would be no problem with the style in a business environment or a formal event.
