Some pics of my new XHS-666 25oz

I have had one initial soak.
Really satisified, the fade on the picture took about a week to develop.

But I havent got to the point where the jeans are getting as soft as "they" say, will it get softer than it is now? Because they feel kind of crisp still.


The pic on top is from "Prekestolen" a famous hiking site in Norway, 600 meters straight to the ground!

That 25oz fabric never really becomes "soft", it keeps its rigid feel for a very long time.

How does IH fit compare to 3 Sixteen or APC. I think the rise is higher, but does the wast fit true to size or size down a bit. I'm looking at one of the 25 oz models and won't be able to try it on.

a) Go to the Ironheart Forums. Lots of sizing tips there. There is an entire section where you can compare fit pics w/other forum members' height and weight; you can also send a private message to forum members that are around your size. b) My understanding is that Ironhearts tend to run true to size and that you should never size up since there is minimal to no shrink. IH has a few different cuts, each one is different so there is no universal sizing advice that can be made except to measure a pair of jeans that have the fit you like and compare it to the sizing listed on the Ironheart UK website.

Iron Heart Heavy Herringbone Flannels, 12oz Black/Black Snap Shirts, Extra Heavy Flannels, & Indigo Selvedge Bandanas

Iron Heart's winter shirts have started to come in and they look and feel great. This week we have four new shirts and an indigo-dyed selvedge bandana.

First up we have Iron Heart's heavy herringbone flannel shirt. This shirt comes in two new colors and has Iron Heart's new branded black Permex buttons, felled inner seams, and a brushed interior.

For their 10th Anniversary Iron Heart did a new version of their black/black snap shirt, this one comes in a new denim with a small "10th Anniversary" branded tag. These things are just asking to be beat up and look great with some wear on them.

Next up we have Iron Heart's yearly super heavy weight flannel, the feel and look of this pattern is seriously good. These are sure to go quick as they've become one of the most collectible Iron Heart shirts.

We're happy to see a fresh take on the classic bandana with this new Iron Heart design. With this new indigo dyed bandana they've incorporated the selvedge edge into one side of the cut bandana. The deep indigo color of the fabric will fade over time with regular use and washings.

Iron Heart Blanket-Lined Cotton Duck Winter Jacket, Cordovan Wallets, & Restocks

Every year Iron Heart's winter collection get better and better, and this year's cotton duck jacket is proof that they've honed their skills of making solid understated winter pieces very well.

This new jacket is a blanket lined cotton duck jacket with a heavy duty two-way YKK zipper, corduroy lined pockets and inner placket, inner chest pocket with snap enclosure, and knit cotton cuffs. This jacket is wild warm for its weight and very comfortable. We're impressed by how they've taken a simple style and given it the Iron Heart treatment in functionality.

After almost a year of being out of stock of Iron Heart's folding cordovan wallets we've received a full restock of their black cordovan wallets. These things are built to last and have slips in all the right places. Looking at our product page we're thinking, what store would have nine photographs of one wallet?

Hi guys,

looking to get a new pair of raw denim, currently wearing Evisu 2000 no1 denim but the cut is too full for me especially the top block. Always been interested in IH but not sure what cut to chose... Was thinking about buying a pair of apc new standard to beat around but I'd rather and have some quality japanese denim.

Also own a pair of LVC '67 505 and I like the slim-ish fit with a 7.5 or so leg opening.

I'm a ~W31, debating between the 666 in sz 30 or the 301s in sz 30 as well...

666' got a leg opening of 8" pre-soak and will go down to about 7.5-7.7 post soak but a bit hesitant as I've seen them looking quite skinny on some folks and the 301s' leg opening is already at 7" and sanforized...

Any inputs or opinions to help? Sorry in advance for the redundant question.

Iron Heart Jersey Knit Snap Shirts & Loopwheeled Hooded Sweatshirts

Last year when we held an Iron Heart pop-up at SENY there was one single shirt which sold out so quickly that we wondered why we didn't carry the shirt when it was originally released. We believe it's one of those items that needs to be seen in person as opposed to photos online. In photographs it looks like a black Iron Heart shirt, in person you realize they took their snap buttoned shirt and made it out of the coziest jersey knit fabric they could make. This shirt is made of a soft heavy jersey knit fabric with custom Permex snap buttons, felled inner seams, and double-needle constructed. This thing does not disappoint.

We've also received a small restock of Iron Heart's super heavy loopwheeled zip hoodies in both black and gray. These go quick every year, don't nap.

Iron Heart SEXIH07IIIBK = Type III Modified Jackets, Blanket Lined Rider's Jackets, & Alpaca Lined Deck Jackets

Just in time for the coldest months of the year we have three Iron Heart releases to keep you warm and looking good.

First up we have a jacket that we've redone due to many requests from our customers which didn't get to pick one up during the first two runs. This is the SEXIH07IIIBK overdyed modified Type III denim jacket. This is a Type III style jacket which we've had hand pockets put in and the body length has been extended by 2" so that it can be worn with an untucked shirt or t-shirt. The denim is originally from the SEXIH07 jean, an unsanforized 19oz indigo denim which is then garment dyed black. The jacket starts off a super dark indigo/black and ages over time with an amazing hue of blue/black.

Next up we have the newest version of Iron Heart's N-1 Deck Jacket. This year they've added an alpaca lining to the jacket, making it the warmest version thus far. This jacket comes with a double YKK zipper, snap enclosure inner pocket, and knit storm cuffs. Great warmth and funtionality in a very classic jacket style.

The most tried on jacket at our stores for the past seven years has been Iron Heart's rider's jacket which is available in both indigo and black. They've now done a new version which has a blanket lined body and quilted satin lined arms. These are done in limited numbers for this season.

Self Edge x Iron Heart 20oz Left Hand Twill Denim Jeans & Jackets

For collaboration number twenty-two we've come together with Iron Heart to have a new 20oz unsanforized loomstate left hand twill denim produced with gray weft (fill) yarns. Due to the left hand twill of the denim the jean has a unique hand feel and due to the gray weft yarns the fabric has a very interesting medium indigo shade. We've never really had a jean at our stores made of a denim that looks and feels like this one. Due to the combination of the weight of the fabric and the fact that the denim comes in its loomstate form the fabric will age at a high definition at high wear points and areas of creasing. Iron Heart have cut and sewn this denim without doing any processing of any kind to the fabric. Unsanforized, un-singed, uncalendered, and unmercerised; this is a true loomstate denim.

Iron Heart have taken this beautiful new fabric and produced two jean fits and one jacket model.
The SEXIH22-301s is a slim tapered cut with a medium rise and is stitched together with cotton poly-core goldenrod thread. This is the same 301s which is one of our best selling slim jeans at Self Edge.
The SEXIH22-633s is a straight leg jean above the knee and is tapered below the knee for a smaller leg opening. With the new 633s fit we took the 634s and lengthened the inseam and made the leg opening a tad smaller.
The SEXIH22TYPEIII jacket is a traditional Type III denim jacket which we've added hand-pockets to and lengthened the body by 2" so that it can worn with an untucked shirt underneath. It's also perfect for those who are too tall for the traditional denim jacket body length.

All three of these items shrink a bit when washed due to the unsanforized nature of the denim used. We know it's a little extra to worry about but in the end you'll be thankful due to how they'll fit and age over time due to the denim not being treated with the sanforization process. Shrinkage info can be found on the product pages in our online store.

These are made in limited numbers and will not be reproduced.
Both jean models and the denim jacket will go on sale at all Self Edge stores on Saturday, February 15th at noon (local time) and at 9am (PST) in our online store the same day.

Iron Heart Brown Hairline Hickory Shirts, Cowhide Zippered Wallets, & Jean Restocks

The first new Iron Heart shirt of 2014 has rolled into our stores and it's a good one. The fabric is a hairline hickory done in a new brown-ish color. The color is quite muted due to how close and dense the hairline pattern is on the fabric. The fabric is a medium weight cotton textile and the shirt comes with white snaps and has been rinsed so shrinkage is minimal.

Next up we've received two new Iron Heart wallets in a new shape, both with zippered enclosures and inner card and coin pockets. These are available in both tan and navy leathers which have been paraffin coated for water protection.
