Recently got a pair of IH 633 SBG from Self Edge and while I love the fabric there isn't as much taper below the knee as I was hoping.

Have most recently been wearing a pair of Unbranded UB244 tapered stretch denim and like the taper but the profile overall is a little slim for my taste.

The 633 is quite fitted up top, relaxed at the knee and even moreso at the hem. Opted for the 633 in lieu of the 777 for a bit straighter cut than the UB244 but wonder now if the 777 would be closer to what I'm looking for. Anyone w experience w both cuts that can comment/compare?

Have no experience with the 633. I wear the 777 hemmed to around 29 inches inseam, and I can tell you that it is almost a straight fit for me, with very slight taper from the knee to the hem. The 777, while they call it a tapered cut, is not very aggressively tapered especially if you hem the jeans and provides a slight taper almost straight fit.

You can find a lot of info on the Iron Heart website, including this comparison of all their cuts. The 633 is a Self Edge exclusive; it's essentially the 634 with a slight taper from the knee down. The 777 is lower rise and more tapered all the way down.

Your best course of action is to measure your UB244s the Iron Heart way and see which model matches them best, but isn't as slim, since that's what you're wanting. You can also contact Iron Heart's worldwide distributor in the UK; they're fantastic at customer service and very knowledgeable. Great guys, too.
