Hell, I could dance with combat boots on. But yes, you're right, they aren't ideal. Which is why I'm slowly building a collection of shoes and boots for different occasions. But women always love those shoes so it's always tempting to throw them on if I'm going somewhere where there's an abundance of them.
That's a good way to go and pleasing the females has it's merits too!, lol!

Hello everyone, I'm Paul, 33 years old, born in Poland but living in the Netherlands since I was two years old.

In the last couple of years my interest in men's fashion started to grow (not fashion as in the latest trends), and I developed a love for shoes. I was a sneakerhead for a while, but when I started to dress more mature I started buying leather shoes and boots. Another passion of mine are military flight jackets, but at the moment I only own one high end repro.

I have many hobbies, and therefore I have to be careful with my spendings. And I'm hoping that through these forums I'll learn how I can get the best value for my money.

Hello everyone,

I am Darren, 49, from the UK.

Decided to grow up and ditch the sneakers, jeans and sweats look (with a penchant for adidas originals sneakers). I've always had to wear business dress at the office, until lockdown anyway. Basically, my shoes consisted of black work shoes and sneakers.

Casually, I now prefer boots, brogues, selvedge denim, cords, ocbd's, with a slight 'workwear' vibe. My interest in mens fashion has developed over the last couple of years, as i have wanted to smarten up a little, but retain some personality.

Formal shoe collection is mainly Grenson and Cheaney, plus Allen Edmonds. Casually, I love Grenson boots, Red Wings (don't hate me!!), Loake. Always looking for ideas and opinions on brands, styles, quality etc.

Cheers

Hi all,

Bit of a crusty here from the UK ....67.

Never had much of an interest in fashion as such, have always preferred the timeless style. Always had to wear suits for work but since retiring 5 yrs ago i now only have 2...1 for weddings and 1 for funerals :)

Pleased to have found the forum and will endeavour to both make use of and contribute.

Cheers.

APB here - lurking for a bit, decided to dip a toe in and register.

Recently renewed interest in clothing/style, finding that I like more and more things I never thought I would. Afraid this might just be the start... we'll see what happens ;)

Hi, new guy here. Enjoy the outdoors, hiking etc. I like to know my money goes on quality and function, not just aesthetics, but it's only natural to want things to look good too, though it can be subjective. I'm really into footwear, especially boots.

Hi everyone, My name is Robert. I'm from Melbourne, Australia.
I've been in tailoring for a while and have found an apprenticeship with one of the only Master Bespoke tailors in my country. My label is offering ladies and gents made to measure and actual Bespoke. My focus is fit and above all else, educating the client.
My country like most is full of "made to measure" businesses not knowing anything about the craft, I'm building relationships with anyone who asks and not just offering an excellent fitting suit that is unique to your posture but building self-confidence and awareness of mental health issues.

I wake up every morning, and it occurs to me that I get to help spread positivity while doing what I love, what more could I want.

Hi all,

I'm Floris from Rotterdam, Holland. I'm mainly into shoes and have been following the Edward Green thread for years. Recently started wearing more Alden shoes and love them for their (instant) comfort.
Next to shoes I like Barbour jackets and PT trousers.
