Info/comments on these "basic" Diesels I found?

I found a pair of Diesel jeans at Winners today. Its a plain One-Wash, the "KEETAR" fit, tapered leg opening. The denim quality looks quite good, fairly slubby and a good weight to it. I'm not sure if its an older model, but it definitely does not look like the new designs. Just some comments, general info, would be good. They are a TAD wide in the waist, and much longer than I usually wear, but I am planning to have them just bunch up at the top of my shoe. How do you guys recommend I wash them before I wear them? Hot/Warm/Cold? Machine/Soak? The indigo bleeds quite a bit, even from the 15 mins or so I tried them on, there was indigo transfer to my shoes. They kinda look like they are styled after the 501's, but then again I am no Levis expert:
And what do you guys think of the fit? Coming from a pair of Skinners, this pair is like the exact opposite, so I am not very used to this fit. They don't look too 'Hip-hop' baggy do they?
What do you think, worth keeping or return? Thanks, -nick.

Sonick, I would say that if they're one-wash, don't worry about washing befor eyou wear them. They should be good to go.

Wow, I haven't seen Keetars for years. I think that they discontinued that style even before the Kulturs, in about 1999, I think, possibly earlier. The last time I saw them was at some dodgy store on Hollywood Boulevard before Hollywood and Highland was built. If I remember correctly, they are fairly high rise and pretty tapered, and if they are the jean I am thinking off, they are one wash. The back patch is probably tan and papery leather with Orange/red print, right? Wow, I wonder where those jeans have been sitting all these years...

Edit: after seeing your pics.
Anyway, nice find (you can tell people you had them from back in the day), before tapered was out, and then back in again. IMO, the fit looks really good on you. And the denim on those jeans, IIRC, was pretty good.

Pics are up.

Laying them flat, they do not look as tapered as I thought they were.

I dunno, the denim looked pretty nice, but as I said, I usually wear tight jeans, I am not sure if these look too odd on me.

I actually really like the proportions, but that's just me. I really like the more fitted top and looser (but not hip-hop baggy) jeans silhouette.

I agree. I like the fit a lot on you, sonick. At the very least, you can keep them in the rotation for when you want a looser fit jean.

I second the slightly loose jeans in comparison to your shirt comment, but i also say the jeans look good and with another tee/shirt it would look great.
