In between shoe sizes, better to err towards the smaller size?

i have this same problem on all my shoes 7.5 is too tight where my small toes hurt after a lot of walking. size 8 usually its too much room and sometimes i get blisters on the back of my heel.

no not at all to the initial question. i am a 13 and suffer to fit in some 12.5's which sucks.

Great suggestion. Plenty of toe room but snug on the 10? Shop for a different shoe with some width options. You sound like you'll have regrets if you were to get the 10 or the 10.5.
