Notice the difference between the Glen Urquhart Check and the Small Glen Urquhart Check. The difference has nothing to do with size. And you can also see what the Prince of Wales check REALLY is.

Interesting stuff guys, thanks again for all the great info! I've talked to a couple of Harris Tweed mills and been told that the Russell Plaid jacket is not a Harris Tweed. The checked dogstooth jacket featured in a couple of the posts is a Harris Tweed in a 2x2 Mackenzie Dogstooth and is a 1960's original. This fabric is now rewoven by Harris Tweed Textiles and sold through Montague Jeffery Menswear in Northhampton. Both the Russell Plaid and the Donegal jackets were custom made for the show, and multiple copies were made in each fabric. This means that a large quantity of each tweed must have been bought by the BBC to make the jackets - the Donegal in mid 2009 and the Russell in early 2010. Ideally I'd love to find out where these were bought and buy some of the same fabric, if not, something as similar as possible.

I'm new to the forum but I saw this jacket in the 1969 film On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I can't seem to find anything like it these days and I was hoping that someone on this forum might have some information on something similar or maybe even know if this style is still made. Thanks
