i'm going to huntsville, al for thanksgiving to visit my lady's family and hang out with their awesome new dog. while that will be fun we are trying to go out and see what the "scene" -- if any -- is like.

here in dc we frequent the atlas district (sticky rice, little miss whiskey, jimmy valentine's) and places like DC9, the red derby, and the raven.

in new york we tend to hang out in the lower east side or williamsburg.

we're not looking for the "coolest place ever" in huntsville, just a couple of places with personality and cheap drinks where we can hang out and maybe meet like-minded people who enjoy hank williams sr. and have totally sweet facial hair.

nice coffee shops would also be appreciated.

There is an outpost of that LA joint "Ketchup" that looks kind of fun (for Alabama, at least).
