I had one of those over-the-door pullup bars at my old house. By the time I moved out, I could do 28 underhand. I haven't found a good place to install the pullup bar in my new house, so I haven't been doing any pullups for the last three or four months.
I heard from a guy who had been in the infantry that 4 is considered average. If you can do 12, you're considered to be in a completely different class
I'm still doing pushups, however. I can squeak out 49 or 50, and try to do that twice a day.
Bodyweight is 180 lbs, FWIW.
