I was about 210 at my heaviest (6'1"). Now down to about 170-175. When I was 210 I was a size 44 jacket (36 waist). Now I'm a 40 with a 33-34 waist. Took about 2 years to reduce myself, with a lot of working out and controlling the diet. Now it's just maintenance, but I still can't eat as much as I used to.

I'm 6'3" around 228, 36-38 waist and a 44-46L jacket depending on who makes it. I'd love to get back to 210 and a real 36/44L, but we just had a baby, and it's hard to run/bike/work out daily.

6'8" and 250, though I used to weigh a lot more. I've managed to get down 40 pounds from the beginning of the year, but every 3 or 4 pounds I completely plateau, despite exercise and calorie counting. Extremely frustrating. The only way I've found to break through the plateau is to do south beach diet phase 1 for a few days, which is miserable.

BTW, I'm really getting sick of the rail thing, tight-clothing, vaguely effeminate look being in. Wish we could go back to a more 1950's, Cary Grant look...

Sorry, I don't buy this. My baby girl just turned a year old a month ago, we have a 9 year old as well, and my wife and I have both managed to maintain regular exercise schedules, each working out about 5 days a week. We both work in academics, and I have some other stuff on the side besides. It is really a matter of commitment.

Just shy of 220 at 6'5", I'm too fat. The lowest I ever was in the last 10 years was 190 at a time when I was running like hell, swimming, cycling and working out 3+ times a week in the gym (I was doing my PhD with the campus weight room 50 metres away from my lab).
I plan to do one of the biggest long distance cross country runs in europe next year (www.rennsteiglauf.de), around 45 miles long and a couple of thousand feet vertical so I need to lose at least 20 lbs.

The only time I was over 200 lbs was during football season in college. Now I'm anywhere from 180-190 but my waist is still a 32...I was just a meat head.
