How many miles did you run today?

I got in a 20 mile run this morning. Usually for my long runs, I head primarily north and west but today I went south and east into the much more dense neighborhoods. I don’t run through these places as often because the blocks are shorter, there’s so many intersections, and it’s really really flat. Over 20 miles today I barely got 350’ of elevation.

5 miles (4 on trails) with one of the dogs to meet my wife and kids at a local open space. I ended up walking a mile trying to catch up with them. Now I’m playing at the park with the kids. Temps in the mid 70s with some wind.

Been keeping up with my weights at 5:30 work mornings. Had a nice ride today, a solid 30 miles in, but the path was closed at one point and I had to put the Domane to the test and find out if it really is an "all roads" bike. The 32mm and low'ish pressure of 70 psi paid off and some sand and light gravel no problem. The only damage was to my legs where thorns gave me several bloody punctures or tears. Tomorrow we'll not go that route!

7.1 miles this morning to put me at 67.1 miles for the week.

When I got out of bed my calves were definitely a bit sore from yesterday’s 20 miler, but they felt pretty good after some pre-run stretching and my first mile or so.

Tried to go out again today, but even though my left leg now feels fine in normal use and even when doing stretching and weights, the hamstring is not going to take running yet. So I stopped after less than a km and went home. Did some stretching and weights instead. I think I will have leave it at least another week or two, so I will probably get out on the bike instead this week, probably just my ordinary road bike, since the riding position on my TT bike will probably aggravate any injury.

3.5 miles (to top of hill and back) pushing my youngest son in the stroller. My wife had the other two in the trailer. Temps in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Am I the only one that laughs at those idiots that rotate their hands in/elbows out to make their triceps pop as much as possible? It's a pretty useless way to hold the bars but I notice a fair number of guys like to do this.

I don't think I've ever noticed this. Is there a chance that you are over-interpreting this behavior?
