I really really really hate black.
But, unfortunately, I have a black sportcoat (not a blazer) that is 52% silk/48%wool with a tonal herringbone weave that is appropriate for all-season wear. The buttons are black, not metal or chrome or silver or whatever.
My question is this: What colour of pants and shirts and ties would you recommend I team up with this sportcoat to make it look REALLY DIFFERENT and SAVVY and INTERESTING and not vanilla or pedestrian?
I know I can wear tan or cream or beige or grey and charcoal slacks (you know, the USUAL colours) in solids, checks, etc., and pretty well almost any colour of shirt (except navy blue, of course) in stripes and chekcs and everything else . . .
. . . but what do all of you PERSONALLY recommend to make the entire ensemble "pop"?
Thank you very much!
