I'm a long time watcher of the forum and haven't been an active participant for a little while. I have to say, the fits that Roy Al, Alan Bee, Upr Crust, An Acute Style to name a few are a great inspiration. Whilst you all have differences, everyone that posts pictures regularly have a sense of owning their individual styles. You all look very well dressed and all extremely comfortable in your relative styles.

I've spent a bit of time considering what my own sense of style looks like and it doesn't work with my current physique. Alan and his recent pictures have inspired a return to the cardio section of the gym and to a healthier diet. With that in mind, my meeting with a tailor is booked for 3 months time and I look forward to sharing with you all the results.

Today. I never realised that I needed new trousers until I took that photo, looks like I’ll be getting new ones soon!

Also, any pointers on how to make this look better? Jacket & trousers could be too close of a shade to wear together I’m thinking?

Edit: probably the wrong socks to wear, too. It’s a mess.

Pontifex maximus you are even though - in the sartorial world, Crusty. Infallible, and something of an inspiration for the rest of us.
Me will be off to Bergen, son and national day tomorrow. And even some mountain hiking.

Thank you, gentlemen, for the compliments, and best of luck with the diet and exercise regimen, steveabdn.

It's Thursday, and rainy and cool here in NYC, a perfect day to squeeze out another wearing of something from the fall/winter wardrobe, before it makes its way to the alterations tailor (I think that the trousers should be tapered a bit) and the dry cleaner.

Suit - Brooks Brothers, MTM
Shirt - Hilditch & Key
Tie - Brooks Brothers
Pocket square - Ralph Lauren Purple Label
Cufflinks - Tyrwhitt
Shoes - Harris, via Barney's NYC

For what ever reason, it has dipped in temperature at my office this past week, but I am still anticipating this will be the last time I get to wear this until next season. It is still my favorite suit however. And the shirt is pale blue.

Suit: Ring Jacket
Shirt: Kamakura
Tie: Shibumi
PS: Drake's
Shoes: Carlos Santos

That is a fab look, Roy Al. Love the grey striped shirt in combination with the suit. I have got a shirt with grey dress stripes. Looks a bit austere. The fancy stripes make quite a difference.

In an Arizona DMV office parking lot on a typically warm and windy day.
