Yep, need those too. But really - you dont think the grey worked? I thought the grey with the b/w square and the grey/white stripe seersuckers, it flowed nicely (Nii - you see me, not contrasting there?)

no, they look sort of cheapish with the ultra thin soles...

    Easy Thursday.

Vintage bespoke SC, Polo shirt, tie and pants, Cole-Hahn Collection shoes.

    Have a good one.

Note: the jacket is navy not black even though it might look that way.

    Nice look but GREAT shoes!

Worrisome Wednesday as TD5 brews in the Gulf and sets it's sights on NOLA and Gulf Coast. Lots of nastiness cooking up. Whether it will come together is another thing.

So, today I went with bright colors in response to the crap weather.

Vintage Haspel suit, Ben Sherman shirt, vintage tie and vintage Florsheim Imperial gunboats in shell.

    Have a good one.

    Mike

Definitely one of the best I've seen here. The weather looks vicious though. [IMG]

How you can endorse those gladiator slippers on a man is beyond me.

Thanks! Weather is worse today as TD5 actually got its act together early this am and has tightened up into a solid TD. Never count out a storm in the Gulf!

    Much thank HF and MBreinin.
HF, you are so right. Did not realize it until you pointed it out.
Mike, really liking that Southern flair you been sporting of late.

Y'all can always count on me to break up the endless and predictable ennui of knit ties, plaid jackets, and fluffed pocket squares.

Lovely combination, what kind of fabric is that tie? it looks nice.

Great jacket! Nice color and pattern.

    MOSTLY POLITE THURSDAY EDITION

This is a look I can endorse. One quibble - ultra modern danish-looking red glasses don't go with the suit - get yourself a more conservative pair. You don't have to wear the same glasses with everything, even though most of us do.
    Gah [IMG]

The tie that started my obsession with knit ties. Noice.
    All Cotton Wednesday ... [IMG]

Great color. I think a poofier pocket square is in order - the sliver of mad-men fold is the only thing that doesn't go with the outfit IMO.

This jacket looks vaguely familiar . . . . it should have it's own name . . . perhaps the "Mystery Tailor special" [IMG]

If we could drench you in sweat and paste a carpet of chest hair on you, just poking out the neck, you'd be a character in Heaven's Prisoners (a good thing).

FINALLY, pants that fit. Looks great.
Just passing through, gents... HK with "Auntie" [IMG]

    Damn, LK cameltoe. [IMG]

A mooseknuckle on any other man, I'm sure

Thanks. Was waiting for someone to comment on the button stance. There is a story behind this but its all to complicated to explain. Maomao was involved though.

Ah. So, it's complicated and frightening?

When we meet - and I'm sure we will one day - I will listen to it enraptured, sat by a campfire and staining my nice ensemble with melted marshmallow

Today's suit receives no quibbling from me, by the way

    Just passing through, gents...

    Overall, I'm in favour

What I like about this shantung Drakes tie is that all who have posted theirs own a different colour. Well, except Toiletduck, who has the same as yours. And indecisive, old Vox, who owns them all

Pants are navy, kind of hard to see due to picture quality that needs improvement.

^^^^^ I like the SC quite a bit.

Pants look like jeans and I think the slim fit detracts from the overall look. Please wear a tie, it would do wonders.

    Thank's!
I'd love to wear tie every day, but since barely anybody in my company with exception for top managers wear tie and most collegues wear jeans and t-shirt, it kind of makes me feel out of place if I'd use a tie every day.
I wear one when attending customer meetings and at other more special occasions.

Btw the pants are navy chinos.

Must be a trick of the light. This can't be the second camel toe in two days on this board. Or is that the new trend, perhaps a Thom Brown thing?

Good call. I do have other glasses, so I'll keep that in mind.

    I went with the Huntsman.
