Higher End Bootlegs?

Hi,

Recently, I have been purchasing a lot (for me) of shirts (@25) and ties (@40) from Ebay and many other online sites. The relative (compared to department stores) pricing is very hard to resist. Most of these are higher end brands like Brioni, Zegna, Fray, and Isaia. I've noticed some inconsistencies between the tags relative to each other and, maybe more importantly, ones that I have purchased at Neiman Marcus. It made me wonder, are higher end shirts and ties being bootlegged? These are not Mexican Rolex quality level. These are clearly well made but I still wonder.

if you're not overly familiar with the real thing, and honestly if you don't really care because they work for you, then... ignorance is bliss

There is a thread with various Zegna labels. Not sure about the others. Check that.

Some times labels change. A lot of Ebay stuff is older so you see older labels.
