Polo had one without the emblem from Fall/Winter that was on sale for $69 and all sizes avail (S-XL)...this was last week, I believe the sale is now officially over but you could check their site

otherwise, I got a cotton cableknit from Fred Perry UK a couple months ago from their spring line that is white with red/navy stripes at the V neck, sleeve cuffs and bottom hem. It's one of their better "made in italy" sweaters. $211 shipped iirc

I think Ben Sherman has a basic one in navy with white trim at the Vneck for $90

I've got quite a few tennis sweaters I've bought over the years but most of them aren't available anymore.

If you have $3000 to spare

, Thom Browne makes an amazing looking one that is similar to the fred perry I described above. And it looks like he's got one coming out for his Brooks collaboration next fall (white w/navy+red trim)

I saw the H&M ones (black w/red+white trim, and a white one w/navy trim iirc)...they were *meh*. pretty thin and cheap feeling. I guess not bad for $40

Isn't the appeal of the Tennis/cricket sweater that it is traditional/old fashioned? I saw the Brooks Brothers one in the catalog and think it looks great. It's a silk/cotton blend, I believe.

there was that one UK site (i forget what it was) where you could customize the cricket sweater to a degree, at least choose the base color as well as the trim colors.

Yes it is. Go to the tennis page. These were on deep discount at the local dept. stores yesterday. Use the coupon code RL2007SP to get 30% off at polo.com. http://www.polo.com/family/index.jsp...p_ptennis_Mtlp
