Help needed with a blazer

i'm sort of new to dressing better. I used to wear eddie bauer and the gap, but now I wear brooks brothers shirts, Charles tywhwrt shirts, brooks brothers pants and some dress shirts and pants from banana republic, i have lots of casual shirts from Ralph Lauren. I am always looking for a step up. I do want to check out Epaulet and some other high places, I have alan Edmonds shoes...which I just love.

so I am in the market for a blazer,,,something I can go out to Lincoln center with and also wear to work. I am 49 years old, weigh about 180, have broad shoulders and a narrow waist.

any recommendations?. I;m looking to spend between 300 and 600.
