Hey Guys,
Here is the deal - I am a 6'0" active but over weight individual who wants to lose 25 lbs. by July 14th, 2012 (my wedding day). I know little bits about working out and excersising but not enough to put together a 10-week regimen. With your expertise and advice I plan to come out of the gates on the 14th looking like a completely different person. I have a pretty good idea how I am going to address this with my diet but dont really know anything about supplements. If there are any fat-burning or good muscle building supplements you would recommend, I would be interested. Protein based shakes?
Can Do's:
Swimming (very competent)
Running (Gets me bored but I know this is a MUST for this to succeed)
Cycling (again, competent)
Tennis / Soccer (I usually play tennis 1-2 / week for 1.5hr and play competitive soccer on tuesday nights)
I don't really have a lifting partner as such, but could probably find one 1-2 times per week if needed.
GOALS:
Lose body fat in torso (mainly Chest + Stomach / Sides)
Tone Arms + Shoulders + Back
Keep legs right where they are (proportional to body)
So - If it's not too much to ask, I would like the members of the SF community to give me a daily workout schedule. I am knowledgeable enough that I could pinpoint a starting weight on a bench etc but would be open to suggestions as well. Right now I could probably start out benching 145 lb for 3 sets 5 times a set.
Outlook:
Ideally, my plan is to do some cardio / light weight in the morning as well as evening. Maybe wake up and go for a 500m swim with some weights and then a run in the evening?
I hope you will lend your expertise and time. It will be greatly appreciated. IF there is enough interested and I can muster enough courage I will post weekly pictorial, measurement, and weight updates. I will respond each night to the thread so that I can let you know how the work-outs went.
