Help buying a first "good" suit

Hey, I've been dressing as well as possible for a long time, but within my budget constraints that meant a lot of OTR Prada and Paul Smith and RLP and I've decided to try to get a first-rate OTR suit, hopefully with a lot of bargain-shopping and for under $1,000.

I'm 6'2", thin, dark, and just starting a career as a lawyer. I'm looking for a navy suit, I think-- my only other one is a Tom Ford YSL I bought in NYC ages ago and it doesn't really fit anymore.

I want something that fits well, and that's fairly conservative and timeless with the best construction and materials I can get for the money.

Looking at Kiton and Brioni on eBay, there's not much within my price range except a couple of three-buttons-- particularly this one which I feel may work as a 2-roll-3, but I don't know.

Anyone have any advice/thoughts about a good way to go? I'm pretty excited that I can be making decisions to develop my professional wardrobe for a whole career, rather than just buying things I like and that I may not like in 3-5 years. I just bought a pair of EG Chelseas to this end, as well.

Thanks!

This yet again.

Type 'First Suit' into the search function and them read the myriad posts on this subject. There have been several new threads in the last three months and two alone in the last fortnight.

You will learn far more than yet another new thread will attract.
