gucci horsebit loafer in lugged sole or leather sole?

I'm thinking of pulling the plug on a pair of gucci horsebit loafer's in brown. I'm aware of the fact that both alden and allen edmonds make similarly styled shoes for significantly less money, but I've tried both of those on and neither one fits my feet as well as the gucci. At the end of the day, this will be one of my main work loafers, so comfort is huge. I wanted to get some thoughts on lugged sole versus leather sole shoe. Specifically, which one do you guys think is more stylish? I've included links to pictures of exactly the models that I am talking about:
